Medical Services

While fulfilling our Mission Statement of "Dedicated to the Work of Health and Healing," we pride ourselves in caring for the individuals and communities we serve.  Sanford Canby Medical Center is a recently remodeled healthcare facility offering excellent care by a dedicated staff that includes:

Anticoagulation Clinic

The purpose of the Anticoagulation Clinic is to provide safe and convenient follow-up care for patients on warfarin (Coumadin®).  Education and monitoring help you get the best results from the medication and decrease the negative side effects, such as bleeding and blood clotting.

Clinic Services

Our primary care team of board certified family medicine physicians, internal medicine physician and certified nurse practitioner specialize in preventive care as well as the diagnosis and management of chronic conditions.

Colonoscopy Services

A colonoscopy is recommended starting at age 50 for those of average risk. Patients with a family history of colorectal cancer or polyps should contact their physicians as they may need to be screened at a younger age, and have follow-up exams at more frequent intervals.

Dental Services

Sanford Canby Dental Clinic offers comprehensive dentistry services for adults and children right in the Canby community. Our team is also committed to providing our patients with a relaxing, positive experience.

Diabetes Education

Sanford Canby Medical Center offers a variety of services to provide basic knowledge, skills, problem solving techniques, and coping skills to the person with diabetes. Our diabetes care team consists of two Certified Diabetes Educators (one Registered Dietitian and one Registered Nurse under the medical direction of an Internal Medicine Physician). Both educators are also Certified Pump Trainers (CPTs) with Medtronic Minimed. These services are available to people with a new diagnosis of diabetes as well as those previously diagnosed.

The care of the dialysis patient involves a team of professionally trained individuals including a nephrologist (a doctor that specializes in diseases of the kidney), specially trained nurses, a social worker, and a dietitian. The Sanford Canby Medical Center dialysis medical director is a board certified nephrologist who visits our facility on a monthly basis.
