Your Inpatient Experience
Your daily schedule will vary, but a typical day will include several hours of intense therapy. You’ll work with specialists in occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy.
The inpatient rehabilitation team will work with you until your discharge. When you transition to outpatient care, we’ll review your medications and home instructions with you. You’ll need to follow these instructions, practice exercises and go to follow-up outpatient appointments.
Our goal at Sanford Inpatient Rehabilitation is to help you complete the inpatient program, but we also want to set you up for success so you continue making progress after discharge.
Care from Accredited Rehabilitation Programs
Choose Sanford Health’s rehabilitation programs for care that’s accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). CARF accreditation means we meet strict international guidelines for high standards of care. It is the highest recognition for a rehabilitation facility.
Our facilities in Fargo, North Dakota, have additional accreditations for acquired brain injury rehabilitation. In Sioux Falls, South Dakota, our program is accredited in stroke rehabilitation.
