We’re proud to be the only ambulance service accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services in North Dakota and one of two in Minnesota.

Disaster Response Experts
When disaster strikes, our team is ready to respond with a major incident transport unit, a mobile incident command center and a disaster supply trailer that holds supplies to treat up to 100 patients.

The Region’s Best Trauma Care
Sanford USD Medical Center and Sanford Medical Center Fargo are the only Level I Adult Trauma Centers between Minneapolis, Seattle, Denver and Omaha. This designation means we can provide total care for any critical illness or injury.
The medical centers also have Level II Pediatric Trauma Centers that are accredited by the American College of Surgeons.
Emergency Medical Services Education
Sanford Ambulance offers a variety of courses to train every level of health care provider, from first responders to doctors. We also provide CPR and safety courses to the public.
Our paramedic program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs. We’re also the only Prehospital Continuing Education accredited program in North Dakota.

Sanford Ambulance offers ambulance tours to the public and visits to local schools at no cost, depending on availability.
Community Outreach
Billing
Sanford Ambulance provides electronic billing to Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance companies. We file insurance claims on a patient’s behalf and can sometimes help them file an appeal for reimbursement at their request.
