Sanford Thief River Falls Medical Center is a state-of-the-art $60 million facility, which opened in 2014 to serve northwestern Minnesota. Choose Sanford Health for high-quality, comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services.

The medical center houses the clinic and hospital under one roof. You’ll find a 24-hour emergency department, birth center, radiology services, infusion center, surgery center, therapy services, pharmacy and lab.

We have providers in nearly 40 specialties and visiting providers in seven additional specialties.

On-site Clinical Trials
 We give our patients greater access to clinical trials and innovative treatments. Sanford Thief River Falls is also a research site for the Minnesota Cancer Clinical Trials Network.

Sanford Gift Shop is located near the hospital entrance of the Sanford Medical Center Thief River Falls. It is staffed by volunteer auxiliary members and has a wide selection of jewelry, baby and children’s items and other unique gifts.

Stop in and pick up something for your loved one before your visit. Or give us a call – we can help you select a gift and deliver it to the patient’s room. All proceeds are used to provide equipment and services to our patients. When you purchase a gift from our shop, you are helping to care for the patients at Sanford Medical Center.
