Finance Your Higher Education

Apply for financial aid from Sanford Health, whether you're a child of an employee, pursuing a medical career, or both. We offer several scholarship programs for funding your post-secondary degree:

  • Heart of Tomorrow Program for children of Sanford Health employees
  • Health Network Scholarship for students pursuing a degree in a health care-related field
  • Sanford Sons & Daughters for medical students who are children of Sanford Health employees

Heart of Tomorrow Program

Sanford Health has developed the Heart of Tomorrow program to assist Sanford Health employees' dependent children who are planning to pursue post-secondary education in a two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical program. These scholarships will be offered on a yearly basis for full-time study at any accredited post-secondary institution the student chooses.

Health Network Scholarship

Sanford Health Network is pleased to offer a $2,000 scholarship opportunity to students pursuing a post-secondary degree in a health care-related field. By offering this scholarship, we are making an investment in our region's future workforce and the communities we serve.

You do not need to be a Sanford employee to apply. Applications must be submitted by April 6, 2018, for consideration. Award recipients will be notified in May. See our flyer for more information, including qualifications, required documentation and details about the selection process.

Sanford Sons & Daughters

Sanford Sons & Daughters gives future physicians the opportunity to learn from some of the region's most innovative minds in health care today. The program is open to those who have a parent or other family member employed by Sanford and who have been accepted into medical school, or at any time during their medical school training, residency or fellowship. Participants in the Sons & Daughters program will receive one or more of the following:

  • Informational resources: Candidates will have the opportunity to explore specialties, specific areas of projected physician need and research opportunities within Sanford.
  • Mentorship: Qualified candidates will be paired with a current Sanford physician and/or researcher who will function as their mentor.
  • Financial Support: Sanford may provide financial support to candidates, which could include assistance during medical training, and a retention incentive loan when candidates begin their employment with Sanford.
