There are times when a health problem or injury can prevent people from doing the things they want or need to do. These things can include taking care of children, fixing dinner, typing on a computer, grocery shopping or folding clothes.
Occupational therapy enables people to live life to its fullest. Occupational therapists use an occupation-based and client-centered approach that identifies what the client wants to be able to do in daily life that is personally fulfilling and meaningful. Clients learn or regain skills that enable them to be successful at home, work and play.
