Dr. Huber believes in patient and family centered care. In the ICU, parents are paramount to helping children heal. It is important for families to be involved in the complex decisions making that commonly occurs in the ICU.
Dr. Huber is an Associate Professor in Pediatrics at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine and is the Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Residency Program. She enjoys educating medical students and resident physicians.
Dr. Huber originally went to college planning to be a pharmacist. After 1 year of pre-pharmacy she began to question that decision. After getting helpful advice from many friends and family, she decided to pursue a career in medicine.
Dr. Huber is married and has 3 dogs (Italian Greyhounds). In her spare time she enjoys running and taking her dogs for walks. She also enjoys downhill skiing and hiking.
