Dr. Egbert Grinage practices pediatrics, providing services including obtaining a patient's medical history; performing physical exams; ordering, performing and interpreting lab and diagnostic tests; prescribing medications; applying and removing sutures/staples; treating common illnesses; health education and counseling.
He previously ran a non-governmental organization in Belize, Friends of Pediatrics, for children with difficult diagnoses. He worked with U.S. organizations to bring care not otherwise available like pediatric surgery, pediatric urology clinics, pediatric cardiology clinics and surgeries, pediatric neurosurgery clinics. He established pediatric mechanical ventilation in Belize in the neonatal unit and the pediatric floor. He also helped design Belize’s first combined pediatric ICU and neonatal ICU with help from Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
