Idea of Care

I believe emergency care should be fast, clear and focused on what matters most in the moment. My approach is straightforward – evaluate quickly, stabilize effectively, communicate honestly and make decisions supported by evidence and experience. I believe patients deserve to understand what is happening with their health, and I prioritize education and practical guidance so they leave with a clear plan.

I offer clear communication, straightforward explanations and practical guidance so patients clearly understand the situation and next steps. I speak both English and Spanish, which helps ensure patients and families fully understand their care in the emergency setting.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Rodrigo enjoys spending time with his family, training in his garage gym and staying active in his community. He enjoys serving as a Cub Scout leader for his son’s troop and coaching his soccer team. As a Navy veteran and northwest Iowa resident, he values discipline, service and being present for the people around him, both in and out of the emergency department.
