Idea of Care

I believe great care starts with listening. I take time to understand each patient’s situation and try to explain things in a way that makes sense. My approach is patient-centered and evidence-based. My goals are simple: smart decisions, safe surgery and great results.

I am committed to using the most advanced, evidence-based techniques available. Whenever possible, I use robotic and minimally invasive surgery to help reduce pain, shorten recovery and improve surgical results. I strive to help patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options so they feel confident and informed at every step of the process.

Personal Interests

Outside the hospital, Dr. Young enjoys distance running, backpacking, hunting, mountain biking and traveling. He loves dogs and spent years volunteering with a German shepherd dog rescue. He has lived and worked in several parts of the country and abroad, including significant time in China, which shaped his interest in languages and cross-cultural communication.
