Meredith Prevost is a certified orthopedic physical therapist. She treats both surgical and nonsurgical orthopedic conditions, including:

  • Knee, hip, ankle, shoulder and back pain
  • Temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ)
  • Total joint replacement and joint surgeries

She also cares for patients following total knee and hip replacement surgery in the Orthopedic Same Day Discharge unit.

Meredith is a certified clinical instructor for physical therapy students and allows high school and college students to shadow in-clinic as needed.

Idea of Care

My initial goal when meeting a patient is clarifying what physical therapy is and explaining what we aim to achieve in the first session. I believe this builds a foundation of comfortability and understanding. We will discuss pain levels, current impairments and difficulties, and I will also ask if there is a specific goal they want or need to achieve. I use the most applicable interventions and techniques, along with the patient’s input, to build a plan to help them reach their fullest potential.

I believe exercise is medicine, so I strive to include strengthening exercises, mobility work, stretches and stability exercises to the level they can participate. I am confident in hands-on manual therapy and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) and use these techniques when appropriate.

Personal Interests

Meredith is originally from Larimore, North Dakota, and loves making connections with patients who also have ties to rural ND. She enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, often checking out local spots in the Fargo-Moorhead area or near the Minnesota lakes. They also enjoy taking walks outdoors and exploring parks.
