Dr Griffin earned his PhD and MD from the University of Colorado. He completed his general pediatric training at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland then subspecialty training in Pediatric Endocrinology at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. After seven years at the University of Arizona in Tucson, he came to Sanford to pursue research on type 1 diabetes as part of the Sanford Project. Dr. Griffin is Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the ABP Sub-board for pediatric endocrinology.
