Kiarash Mashayek, MD, specializes in minimally invasive, robotic hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) and foregut surgery, including procedures involving the pancreas, liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, esophagus and stomach.

Conditions he treats include:

  • Bile duct cancer and blockages
  • Cancers affecting the abdomen, including the appendix, colon and gynecologic organs
  • Esophageal cancer and swallowing disorders
  • Gallstones and gallbladder cancer
  • Liver tumors
  • Pancreatic cancer and cysts
  • Stomach cancer and severe reflux-related disease

He also has a clinical interest in cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) for various peritoneal malignancies, including those originating from the appendix, colon and gynecologic organs.

Dr. Mashayek launched the minimally invasive, robotic hepato-pancreato-biliary and foregut oncology surgery program at Sanford Broadway Clinic in Fargo.

He also serves as an assistant professor of surgery at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences.
