A Specialist in Colorectal Surgery
Kent Peterson, MD, is a board-certified surgeon with fellowship training in colon and rectal surgery. He has advanced training in robotic-assisted surgery for colorectal disease, as well as laparoscopic and open surgical techniques. He has focused expertise in treating rectal cancer through transanal, sphincter-preserving and nerve-sparing techniques.
Dr. Peterson also performs colonoscopies and is trained in sacral nerve stimulator implantation for treating fecal incontinence.
Conditions he treats include:
- Anorectal conditions such as hemorrhoids, fissures and fistulas
- Benign polyps
- Colon and rectal cancer
- Diverticulitis disease
