Dr. Karu is the Plastic Surgery Department Chair for Sanford Health, a member of the Edith Sanford Breast Center Physician Leadership Council, a physician-led, multidisciplinary group designed to help direct efforts for optimal breast health care, and is a Clinical Professor of Surgery for the Sanford USD School of Medicine. Nationally, she is the Chair of the Membership Committee for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
