I think it’s vital to meet my patients where they are in life. I help them meet their health goals and support them through some of their most trying times. I diligently work to teach each patient about their disease and the ways they can improve their quality of life. Also, I strive to always listen to my patient’s concerns. I believe 90% of a diagnosis lies within a patient’s story. I want to provide the same excellent health care to others that I would want for my own family.

Personal Interests

Dr. Heitkamp enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. Together, they love participating in the Fargo Half Marathon. Dr. Heitkamp also enjoys carpentry, restoring antique items, traveling and learning a new skill or hobby.
