Dr. Aakhus was born and raised in Bemidji and feels privileged to provide care for patients in her hometown. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband, Jack, have three children who are active in sports and music. They love living on the lake, being outdoors and traveling whenever they can.
