Partnering with Our Communities
When our communities are vibrant, growing and healthy, so are we. Making our communities stronger is at the core of everything we do at Sanford Health. Our culture of giving back truly connects us to the diverse places where over 50,000 of our employees live, work and serve.
Part of Sanford Health’s mission is to bring health and healing to the people who live and work across our region. As a nonprofit organization, we make sure the benefits of health care reach the broad needs of our communities.
Sanford Health partners with communities and other organizations to fulfill this mission, which is supported by robust commitments to education, health and wellness, quality of life initiatives and economic development. We take our partnerships very seriously.
We combine our philanthropic giving with our health care services and experiences to make a significant impact. To do this, we strive to make ethical business decisions, engage our workforce, volunteer and embrace diversity and inclusion.
Sanford Health believes in giving back to the communities we serve in three main areas: health and wellness, education, and economic development. In total, we give back to over 700 nonprofit organizations and over 2,000 projects, events and initiatives across our footprint.
We have developed guidelines for requests for sponsorship, cash contributions and in-kind donations to ensure that the support from Sanford Health is appropriate and consistent with our mission, vision and values.
We request that all organizations seeking a contribution complete our Donation Request Form. All requests will also need a W-9 attached within the form. A committee reviews all requests and applicants are then contacted via email or phone.
Please try to submit your request before July 1 in conjunction with our budget season so we can plan appropriately.
We are not able to award dollars for the following conditions:
- Gifts awarded to for-profit organizations
- Support used to fund a political campaign or candidate for elected public office
- Funding for an individual
