Who Can Complete an E-Visit?
E-visits are available to anyone in Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota.
When to do an E-Visit
E-visits are appropriate for several common issues including:
2 months to 2 years old
- Diaper rash 2 months and older
- Abrasions and scrapes
- Eyelid infection (blepharitis)
- Head lice
- Insect bites
- Pink eye
- Skin infections
2 years and older
- COVID-19
6 years and older
- Allergies and hay fever
- Rashes
- Sunburn
12 years and older
- Acne
- Athlete’s foot
18 years and older
- Back pain
- Breastfeeding mastitis
- Cough
- Diarrhea

- Sign in to your My Sanford Chart account.
- Select Menu and click E-Visit in the Find Care section.
- Follow the prompts to tell us about your symptoms and complete the e-visit questionnaire.
Who Can Complete a Video Visit?
On-demand video visits are available to anyone in Arizona, Florida, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, or South Dakota.
When to do a Video Visit
On-demand video visits are appropriate for urgent care health needs, including:
- Acne
- Allergies or hay fever*
- Athlete’s foot
- Back pain*
- Breastfeeding mastitis
- Cold and Influenza (flu) symptoms*
- Cuts and scrapes
- Head lice and insect bites
- Nausea*
- Heartburn and diarrhea*
- Pink eye or eyelid infections
- Rashes or sunburns
- Runny or stuffy nose*
- Sinus problems
- Urinary symptoms
- Vaginal discharge

How to do a Video Visit
For an on-demand video visit:
- Sign in to your My Sanford Chart account.
- Select Menu and click On-Demand Video Visit in the Find Care section.
- Follow the prompts to get started. After answering a few short questions, you’ll receive a message in My Sanford Chart when a provider is ready to begin.
To schedule a video visit:
- Sign in to your My Sanford Chart account.
- Select Menu and click Schedule an Appointment in the Find Care section.
- Select Acute/Urgent Care Video Visit.
- Follow the prompts and choose a time that works best for you.
Who Can Complete a Virtual Behavioral Health visit?
Virtual Behavioral Health visits are available to anyone age 10 and older in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, or South Dakota.
When to do a Virtual Behavioral Health visit
Schedule a Virtual Behavioral Health Visit with a therapist if you have:
- A new mental health concern
- A change in your eating or sleeping habits or lack joy in what you used to
- Unhealthy habits that are becoming problematic
- Relational or emotional problems including trouble managing emotions at work or home
- Feelings of being burned out
Schedule a Virtual Behavioral Health Visit with a psychiatrist if you have:
- Seen a psychiatrist in the past for your concern
- Been taking medications for the following: Bipolar disorder, ADHD, Psychosis, Schizophrenia or other serious mental health conditions
- Noticed a serious change in your mood such as going from very depressed to very energetic soon after
- Seen or heard things others do not see or hear
