My approach to care is rooted in seeing the whole person, not just the eyes. I believe in taking the time to build trusting relationships, listen carefully and understand each patient’s concerns. My goal is for patients to feel heard, cared for and confident in the care they receive. 

I am passionate about improving vision and promoting long-term eye health. By combining clinical expertise with a compassionate approach, I aim to ensure every patient feels informed, comfortable and supported.

Personal Interests

Dr. Shanfeld enjoys spending her free time outdoors, especially hiking, traveling and exploring new places. Having grown up in Bemidji, she is especially excited to be back in the community and close to the people and places that have always felt like home.
