Dr. Terrell has published eight scientific articles during his training. His current area of interest is functional outcomes after head and neck cancer treatment. Specifically, he will be studying speech, swallowing and quality of life outcomes. His hope is that a better understanding of current treatment outcomes will lead to improved quality of life in the future.

Idea of Care

Head and neck cancer often adversely affects speech, swallowing, breathing and appearance. These abilities are part of what makes us who we are and have a significant impact on our quality of life. We work as a cancer team and strive to cure each patient of cancer while minimizing the side effects of treatment. This includes utilizing the most advanced surgical techniques, such as robotic surgery, in combination with aggressive physical and speech rehabilitation. We also pay close attention to each individual patient’s needs as everyone presents with unique problems. In this way we hope to provide head and neck cancer patients with the best possible cancer outcome and quality of life.

Personal Interests

Dr. Terrell is married and has three wonderful children. He enjoys time with his family. In his spare time, he also enjoys camping, hiking and sports.
