Megan Burgers, CNM

Certified nurse-midwife Megan Burgers first applied to medical school and got in before having a change of heart. She enjoyed health care and learning about the human body, but it didn’t feel right. When a friend told her about nurse-midwives, she looked into it and later saw her first birth. That changed her life and career path. As a nurse-midwife, she sees women in their teenage years through menopause. She loves seeing women in their 20s or 30s for their annual exams or contraception and then when they want to have a baby. Megan likes to help her patients get through the pregnancy process, see the birth and follow up on their care afterward. She loves that in her profession, she gets to see women open up and be vulnerable. They’ll tell her things that they don’t tell anyone else. She works hard to make her office a safe space for women.
