19th Annual Sanford Sports Medicine Symposium
The purpose of this symposium is to present clinical topics on the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of activity-related medical conditions and musculoskeletal injuries. The symposium will focus on practical and clinically relevant information for attendees to use in their daily clinical practice.

- April 18: 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Location: This event will be held at Sioux Fall Sanford Center Dakota Room and live virtually through Microsoft Teams.

The specific learning or performance objectives for this activity include:
- Review current topics in sports medicine and orthopedics
- Discuss current concepts in joint preservation strategies.
- Review the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of upper extremity pathologies including its relation to throwing mechanics.
- Describe current concepts of tendinopathy pathophysiology and how these inform loading and rehab decisions in athletic populations.
- Summarize evidence-based management options (exercise, load modification, adjuncts) and their relative roles across stages of tendinopathy.
Cancellation/Refund Policy:
A full refund will be given for complete registration cancellations made on or before April 2, 2026. After April 2, 2026, a $15.00 cancellation fee will be assessed. The cancellation request must be either emailed to Tryg.Odney@sanfordhealth.org or faxed to (605) 312-7901. No refunds will be issued for requests made after April 16, 2026.
