In recognition of Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, the Women’s team at Sanford Bemidji Main Clinic will host a special screening event on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 2 to 7 p.m.
Women attending will receive a pap smear performed by an OB/GYN clinician, a critical step in screening for cervical cancer.
Attendees will also have the chance to connect with Sanford Health professionals to discuss personal risk factors, explore strategies for reducing risk, and learn practical steps for long-term prevention.
Pap smears are recommended every three years for women ages 21–30 and every five years for ages 30–65, or sooner if symptoms occur.
Appointments can be scheduled by calling (218) 333-5289, and walk-ins are welcome.
Patients should bring insurance information; if uninsured or not covered, information on free programs will be available on-site.
