Healthy Beginnings: A Pediatrician’s Guide for New Parents
Healthy Beginnings is a prenatal class designed to help expecting parents feel informed, prepared, and confident as they approach their baby’s arrival. Led by a pediatrician, this session has a strong focus on vaccines and covers both those recommended during pregnancy and those given throughout early childhood. A pediatrician will walk through how vaccines protect both parent and baby, address common questions, and explain what families can expect along the way.
The session also covers several other topics related to newborn and early childhood care, such as:
- Feeding
- Sleep
- Development
- Fevers (especially in the first month)
- When to seek medical care
- and more
This session is designed to provide guidance and trustworthy information—so you can feel confident making decisions that are right for your family.
The class format includes lecture and discussion. This class will only be available throughout July, August, and September 2026.

When should moms plan to attend during their pregnancy?
Moms can attend anytime during their pregnancy.
What do I bring?
Something to write with and a small snack or beverage, if desired.
