Grandparenting 101

Congratulations on your new status, “Grandparent!”

Babies haven’t changed, but what we know about them has! Many changes have occurred in the role of grandparents over the last several generations. Car seats, sleep sacks and feeding recommendations are just the beginning.

This class describes ways grandparents can offer support and assistance to a new family.

This class includes:

  • Role transition - moving from parent to grandparent
  • How to be supportive
  • Help to the new parents
  • Update safety knowledge - car seats, sleep environments, and babyproofing.

This class is offered both in-person and virtually. All in-person classes are kept to a total of 10 participants while online classes are unlimited.

For questions or help registering, please call (701) 234-7233 or email sanfordchildrensclasses@sanfordhealth.org. Class questions will be answered during normal business hours Monday-Friday. Messages that are sent after 5 pm or on the weekends will be responded to the following business day.
