Ethical Decision-Making in Healthcare: A Fork in the Road
The purpose of this event is to broaden participants' knowledge and awareness of the personal, professional, and system-level factors that influence the delivery of ethically attuned healthcare. Participants will explore strategies for fostering an ethical work environment and identify resources available to support the navigation of ethical challenges in clinical practice. Ethical Decision-Making in Healthcare: A Fork in the Road examines the ethical challenges that arise in moments of clinical uncertainty. Through case-based discussion and expert dialogue, participants will gain practical tools for navigating real-world dilemmas involving decision-making capacity and surrogate decision-making while addressing the growing complexities of providing patient-centered care.
This is a half-day conference with repeating sessions offered in the morning and the afternoon. Attendees may choose to attend either the morning or the afternoon session. Sessions will be offered both in-person and virtually (via Teams webinar).
Morning session option: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. (Registration will be from 8:30-9:00 a.m.)
Afternoon session option: 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Registration will be from 12:30 - 1:00 p.m.)
