B.E.S.T. (Basic Education for Safe Travel)
The B.E.S.T. (Basic Education for Safe Travel) class is a Minnesota developed class designed for childcare providers and foster care providers. This class takes place in two parts. The online Car Seat Basics takes about 1 to 1.5 hours to complete. The hands-on portion will take approximately 1 hour where the participants will demonstrate they can install their car seat with the facilitator's guidance. The hands-on portion must be completed within 30 days after the completion of the Car Seat Basics course.
Each participant must register independently for a time to complete the hands-on portion of this course. Shortly after this registration you will be assigned to the online Car Seat Basics course using the email provided. The online Car Seat Basics course must be completed prior to attending the hands-on portion of this class.
This class costs $30.00 per participant; you will pay the registration fee at the time of your hands-on portion. Cash and credit cards are accepted.
If you do not need to take the B.E.S.T. class due to professional requirements—such as being a childcare provider or foster parent—free car seat checks are available each Tuesday and Thursday by appointment. To schedule an appointment, please call (701) 234-7233.
