Sanford Health and the Good Samaritan Society partner

To improve senior services in the Bismarck-Mandan area, Sanford Health and the Good Samaritan Society are combining expertise and resources to create a joint venture. As part of this partnership, a 120-bed rehabilitation/skilled care center is being built in southeast Mandan. The joint venture will also include existing Sanford Health Continuing Care Centers in Bismarck-Mandan and the Good Samaritan Society –Bismarck campus.

When the new center in southeast Mandan is completed, Sanford Health Continuing Care Center off Collins will close. Residents at that location will have the first opportunity to move to the new center in Mandan. The Good Samaritan Society – Bismarck, Sanford Health Sunset Drive Continuing Care Center, Sanford Health St. Vincent’s Continuing Care Center and Sanford Health Marillac Manor will remain open.

Sanford Health and the Good Samaritan Society are committed to deliver the best care and services possible for the Bismarck-Mandan area. In this era of health care reform, organizations are able to best serve communities by working together.

“Sanford is excited to begin this joint venture with the Good Samaritan Society,” said Craig Lambrecht, M.D., executive vice president of Sanford Health in Bismarck. “Both Sanford and the Good Samaritan Society share similar values and a commitment to excellenceand innovation, so we knew it was the right move for us to partner and build this new facility to serve the growing senior population in our area.”

“The Bismarck-Mandan area is a growing hub for both health care and senior services,” said the Good Samaritan Society regional vice president Jim Droppers. “The Good Samaritan Society is excited to partner with Sanford Health as we find new ways to share our mission.”
