Sanford Health and American Heart Association Team Up For Heart Month

February is an exciting month for Sanford Health and the prevention, detection and treatment of heart disease.

(Sioux Falls, SD & Fargo, ND) – February is an exciting month for Sanford Health and the prevention, detection and treatment of heart disease. Sanford is proud to be working with the American Heart Association for the Go Red for Women campaign and American Heart Month in February. There will be a multitude of activities happening throughout Fargo and Sioux Falls during the month. All are aimed at raising awareness about heart disease.

Sanford encourages everyone to wear red on February 4 to show their support for the prevention and awareness of heart disease in women. That awareness will continue when two large red dresses are draped off the side of both hospitals throughout the month. Our facilities will be lit with red lighting and we’re also painting the Empire Mall in Sioux Falls red.

Look for a “Red Lady” to be visiting locations in Sioux Falls and Fargo. She will be visiting with people about heart disease and prevention. Sanford Heart will also have a strong representation at the Heart Ball in Fargo and the American Heart Association Luncheon in Sioux Falls.
