Local Kids Take a Walk on the Wild Side

The sixth annual Safety Safari is scheduled (rain or shine) today, from 3-7 p.m. at the Red River Zoo, 4255 23rd Ave. S., Fargo.

(Fargo, N.D.) – The sixth annual Safety Safari is scheduled (rain or shine) today, from 3-7 p.m. at the Red River Zoo, 4255 23rd Ave. S., Fargo. The free event is geared toward educating children and their parents about the importance of playing safe. According to Safe Kids Worldwide, "Every summer, approximately 2.7 million children in the United States ages 14 and under are treated in emergency rooms for unintentional injuries."

Children will see the importance of safety as they enjoy animal presentations and safety demonstrations. Games and activities related to fun and safe summers will be available throughout the day.
