For one hour a week over a three-week period we will work with you to get you started correctly. You'll join Kendall Railing, one of our running gurus, for informative, fun evenings, full of practical tips. You will learn lead-up drills for good technique, put them into action on actual runs, and then incorporate strength exercises to improve your running efficiency.

The class meets October 2, 9 and 16 at 7 p.m. at MeritCare Sports Medicine, 2400 32nd Ave. S.

If you simply want to run for fun, or want to join the local running community, this class is for you. We'll help build your confidence if you aspire to run in one of the Fargo Marathon events. Kendall is an avid runner, having run races from 800m to the marathon, including the Boston Marathon. He is easy to learn from creating a comfortable atmosphere for beginners.

Wear running shoes and clothing you can exercise in. Shorts and a t-shirt work well.

The class is limited to 10 participants. Registration required, cost is $10 and must be prepaid at MeritCare Sports Medicine. Call (701) 234-7904 for more information.
