The Cowboy Up event was started Bruce Van Den Einde of Gardner, N.D. His original idea was to raise money by riding his horse across the state of N.D. His idea changed when he realized other riders shared his passion for fighting cancer, and the Cowboy Up trail ride began.
This year's donations were kicked off with a $5000 donation from Sam's Club.
