(Sioux Falls, SD and Klamath Falls, OR) – Sanford Children’s Clinic in Klamath Falls has officially opene its doors, providing pediatric specialty services including primary and walk-in services all under one roof. The new Castle of Care™ officially opened on Oct. 1, with a grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony held today.
The 9,000-square-foot facility at 3001 Daggett Street was made possible by partnerships in the local community, including Sky Lakes Medical Center, the Jeld-Wen Foundation and Klamath Pediatric Clinic. The clinic will be staffed by local pediatricians and will be in cooperation with Sky Lakes Medical Center for hospital and ancillary services.
“We are thrilled to officially be a part of the Klamath Falls community,” said Dave Link, senior executive vice president, Sanford Health. “This is an exciting day for health care in this remote area, particularly pediatric health care. It’s a mission that leaves a positive impact on all of our patients, whether they are in Oregon or the Midwest.”
Sanford Children’s Clinic will open with John Wilson, MD; Tracy Graham, MD; Rick Zwartverwer, MD; Cody Wilson, DO; Carrie Ganong, MD and Jennifer Lovell. Additionally, the clinic will employ administrative and nursing staff to support the provider team. It will serve a community and broader metropolitan area of 60,000 people, including more than 16,000 children. The clinic will also serve the four-county market service area that includes children and young families in Oregon and California.
“This is a very exciting time for our community,” said Dr. Tracy Graham, Sanford Children’s Clinic pediatrician. “With the help of so many people and partnerships, we now have a state of the art facility to provide an excellent medical home to the children of the Klamath basin. We are honored to join the Sanford organization and hope to live up to its expectations and reputation.”
