Rehabilitation can be achieved through a variety of treatments including therapeutic exercise and activity, hot/cold modalities, education, manual treatments, and splinting.

LSVT BIG Treatment

LSVT BIG Treatment

  • Training program focusing on bigger movements and translating them into everyday activities.
  • Teaches the amount of effort required to produce normal movements. 
  • Trains individuals how to avoid inactivity keeping movements alive to improve quality of life.  

Driver Rehabilitation Treatment

  • Behind the wheel evaluation in Sanford’s evaluation car
  • Evaluation of adapted equipment needs

Living Safely at Home

Living Safely at Home

  • Occupational Therapy assessment designed for people in the Bismarck/Mandan area who encounter problems with daily activities and are at risk for falls. 
  • Most beneficial for patients returning home from the hospital, recovering after in injury/illness, family members caring for others with limits, or individuals with history of falls.

  • Therapists focus on visual impairment associated with age related diseases and people who have had neurological illness that experience changes in their vision.
  • Identify and determine visual impairment and effective intervention strategies to improve independence and safety in completing daily occupations.
