When you arrive for your initial visit, expect a half-day of diagnostic testing and evaluation. Our nurse navigator will guide you through each appointment and be available as a resource to you throughout the day.
Once diagnostic testing is complete, you will meet with the multidisciplinary care team, which will include a maternal fetal medicine physician, potentially a pediatric fetal surgeon, and any specialists involved in the coordination of your care.
Collaborating with you and your referring physician, our team will review fetal imaging findings, discuss their implications and review the treatment recommendation. This will include prenatal management, the potential role of fetal intervention, our suggested delivery management and long-term implications of the diagnosis. We will answer every question you have so you are prepared to make informed decisions.
