Family Medicine: Obstetrics, Pediatrics and Well Adult Care. Vasectomies, Colposcopy, Cryotherapy and Minor Skin Procedures.
I prefer to take care of whole families in my practice. Since I do obstetrics, I am able to care for the women before, during and after the pregnancy, care for the baby once it is born and care for other immediate and extended family members. I like getting to know the whole family so that I have a feel for all of the family dynamics. For example, it is easier to understand why a child is having difficulty in school if I know that her father is in the military and deployed for the next 12 months.
I did my residency and had my first practice experience in the military. I was stationed at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii for 3 years, then at Ft. Leavenworth, KS before coming back to South Dakota. I have participated in several research projects here as both a patient and assistant investigator.
Dr. Broderson received her medical degree from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine in 1995. She completed her internship and residency at the Tripler Army Medical Center in Tripler AMC, Hawaii. Dr. Broderson is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice.
