My aim in life is to be the best provider of children I can be even if it means expanding my repertoire of skills and knowledge. I want to help children and their families’ even it means overcoming hurdles. I am concerned about maintaining my license but not overly concerned as to be paralyzed by fear as I see in many practitioners..
I come from a research challenged setting Belize.
I used to run an NGO for children with difficult diagnoses in Belize called “Friends of pediatrics.”
I used to liase with US organizations to bring care to children in Belize not otherwise available like pediatric Surgery, Pediatric urology clinics, Pediatric cardiology clinics and surgeries, pediatric Neurosurgery clinics, I established pediatric mechanical ventilation in Belize in the neonatal unit and the pediatric floor.
I helped design Belize;’s first combined pediatric ICU and Neonatal ICU with help from Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and a special trip I made to St Louis Missouri at St Louis Children’s Hospital
