3D Mammography

3D Mammography

Better visualization. Earlier detection. Fewer tests.

Breast tomosynthesis, or 3D mammography, is advanced technology in the fight against breast cancer. 3D mammograms are used in conjunction with the traditional screening mammogram and may decrease the need for a diagnostic mammogram. 3D mammography eliminates the complexity of overlapping breast tissue during imaging because the camera moves over the breast and takes images from multiple angles.

The benefits of 3D mammograms include:

  • Reduced imaging call backs and additional tests.
  • Earlier detection of small breast cancers that may be hidden during 2D mammography.
  • Greater accuracy in pinpointing size, shape, and location of abnormalities.
  • Greater likelihood of detecting multiple breast tumors, which occur in 15% of breast cancer patients.

Colonoscopy

Schedule your colonoscopy today.

Colorectal cancer, cancer of the colon or rectum, is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths among cancers affecting both men and women in the United States.

The risk of developing colorectal cancer increases with advancing age. More than 90% of the cases occur in people aged 50 or older, yet a significant number of people still do not get screened. Sanford Health's professional staff makes every step of the process as comfortable as possible.

Colon cancer screenings are recommended starting at age 50. Patients with a family history of colorectal cancer or polyps should contact their physicians as they may need to be screened at a younger age, and have follow-up exams at more frequently.

Call 605-886-1565 to schedule your screening today.
