North Center Virtual Tour

Neurosciences, Orthopedics, Rehabilitation and Team Healing Center Sanford USD Medical Center's new NORTH Center combines all outpatient services for orthopedics, neurosciences and rehabilitation in a state-of-the-art, 130,000-square-foot facility. The NORTH Center is across the street from the hospital; the two buildings are connected via a concourse below the street. Lobby

The lobby is located on the lower level of the NORTH Center accessible from the 17th Street and Covell parking lot. The lobby is an open and expansive area that has a large amount of seating for patients and visitors.

Rehabilitation Pool

Outpatient Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Services provides a state-of-the-art rehabilitation pool facility that consists of two pools, one of which is a warm water temperature. The pools are outfitted with an automated chair lift for accessibility and an easy access descending-walking ramp, which has a steady descending depth from shallow to deep water.

Rehabilitation Gym

This area provides occupational, physical and sports therapy services. The open environment creates a friendly atmosphere for our patients and visitors. The gym is specially equipped with a work simulator and joint testing equipment, enclosed whirlpool room for patient privacy, along with four open and private therapy treatment rooms.

Isotonic and Isokinetic Gym

The gym within a gym consists of the state-of-the-art isokinetic, isotonic and cardiovascular rehab equipment. The gym also houses Medex Isokinetic spine rehab, Biodex Isokinetic joint rehab, and testing equipment.
