After Surgery
| Going Home the Day of Surgery You will be able to rest comfortable in a recliner until you are ready to go home. Your family member or friend may stay with you in the recovery care area. You will not be permitted to leave alone. Please make arrangements for a responsible adult to drive you home. If you have had general anesthesia or any sedation, you will need a responsible adult to stay with you for 24 hours after surgery. You may be contacted by a member of your care team the day following your surgery depending on your individual needs. Staying Overnight You will be transferred to your room. Your postoperative treatments, activities, and length of stay are dependent upon your type of surgery and your individual medical needs.
