Vascular Screen (appointment necessary)
The Vascular Screen is a group of non-invasive ultrasound tests designed to evaluate the blood vessels in the neck, legs and abdomen.

Risk Factors for Vascular Disease
  • Family History

  • Smoking

  • Heart Disease

  • High Blood Pressure

  • Diabetes

  • Over 55 years of age

Vascular Screen Includes
  • Carotid Artery Ultrasound – Assesses the carotid artery in the neck. Fatty deposits or plaque may prevent blood flow to the brain resulting in stroke.


  • Ankle Brachial Index – Assesses the circulation of the leg arteries by measuring the blood pressures on both arms and at the level of both ankles.


  • Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm – Assesses aorta for weakness or bulge. Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms are caused by a weakening or damage in the wall of the abdominal aorta.


  • Interpretation by a credentialed Vascular Specialist. Results will be sent to home.
