Providing Primary Care Where It Is Needed the Most
In 2007, Sanford Health launched the Sanford World Clinics initiative to develop a series of pediatric clinics in areas in the U.S. and around the world that lack sufficient primary care services. As this initiative evolved, Sanford Health determined that in many developing countries, the most effective way to improve the health of children is treating the entire family. To accommodate this need, Sanford Health expanded the scope of its World Clinics beyond pediatric care.
