Birthing class specifically designed for the family with a very busy schedule.
When a child in your care shows signs of delayed development, one of the first steps to take is discussing your concerns with parents. Learn how to talk with parents to create a partnership versus defensiveness.
Create safe environments for children to play using physical activity, movement, and nature
Come gain an understanding of the importance of social emotional relationships and how it relates to the infant's brain development.
Learn to handle child illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. A Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid Course Completion Card will be given to students upon successful completion of the course. Course renewal is every 2 years.
Parents or loved ones of babies who entered this world early or anyone who has a child who has spent time in the NICU is welcome to this group.

Sanford Bemidji Medical Center offers “Understanding Birth” classes for expectant mothers.
Helping Children Learn Mathematics and Science Using the Early Learning Scale. An additional $40 for CDA CEU credit, if desired. 10 part series, no partial registration/credit; 20 hours of class; worth 2 CDA CEU credits. Can miss 1 class and get credit unless taking for CDA CEU need to take all 10. Ask instructor for questions. Full Series MUST be paid for before enrollment
