Study ID: NRN Milrinone Study
Milrinone in Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia
Milrinone in Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. Description: Infants with congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) usually have underdeveloped lungs, low blood flow to the lungs and high blood pressure in the lung vessels, also called persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn (PPHN) which leads to respiratory failure. This is a clinical trial to determine if a drug called milrinone, when given to infants with CDH, will help the heart work better by supplying oxygen to the lungs and tissues.
