Find a Pregnancy Care Location

OB video visits are an option for some women. Your provider will decide if you’re eligible for the service and will schedule your appointments for you.

What to expect: OB Video Visit

Your first pregnancy appointment will be in-person, but later meetings will alternate between traditional visits and OB video visits. You will have your video visits through My Sanford Chart.

As part of the OB Video Visit process, you’ll lease a home monitoring kit. These kits include easy-to-use baby checkup tools, including a fetal doppler and blood pressure cuff. The fetal doppler checks your baby’s heartbeat. You can use the doppler at any time to listen to your baby’s heart. Your care team will show you how to use the equipment during your first visit.

Your provider will schedule your OB video visits. You’ll access your visits through My Sanford Chart. Your nurse will help you use the monitoring kit to record you and your baby’s vitals and perform screening tests. These visits are especially valuable as a time to ask questions. Your nurse will report any problems to your provider and schedule a follow-up, in-person visit to address them with your care team.
