Voluntary Nationwide Pharmacy Recall

Q: What products are affected by the recall?
A: Prinston Pharmaceutical Inc has issued a voluntary recall of valsartan and valsartan HCTZ tablets as a precautionary measure. Due to the notification Sanford Pharmacies have pulled all affected product off of our shelves.

Q: What is valsartan and valsartan HCTZ taken for?
A: This medication is commonly used to treat high blood pressure or hypertension.

Q: Why are the products recalled?
A: The products are recalled due to a trace amount of unexpected impurity

Q: Why is this important to me?
A: Sanford Clinic and pharmacies may need to substitute other medications to treat high blood pressure.

Q: What should I do as a patient?
A: Contact the doctor that prescribed this medication to you and ask about continuing or getting a  or a substitute.
