Governors Forum on June 2 Focuses on Children

Sanford Teams up with Local Children's Groups to Host Gubernatorial Candidates

(Sioux Falls, SD) On Wednesday, June 2, 2010, five of South Dakota’s gubernatorial candidates will turn their attention to children’s issues.

Just five days before the Republican primary for governor, the forum is being hosted at Sanford USD Medical Center in the Schroeder Auditorium. Sanford Children’s is co-sponsoring the event along with the South Dakota Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, The League of Women Voters of South Dakota and South Dakota Voices for Children.

Sanford USD Medical Center – Schroeder Auditorium

Candidates scheduled to attend are Republican Dennis Daugaard, Democrat Scott Heidepriem, Republican Gordon Howie, Republican Dave Knudson and Republican Scott Munsterman. The evening agenda includes opening statements by each candidate followed by a question and answer session and closing statements by each candidate.
