Whether you’re in need of a routine ultrasound for a normal pregnancy or you have a high-risk pregnancy, The Sanford Women’s Ultrasound Diagnostic Center has six state-of-the-art ultrasound rooms for routine and advanced prenatal diagnostic and interventional procedures. These procedures include comprehensive looks at the fetal anatomy to detect the presence of structural anomalies of the brain, heart, kidneys, limbs and other organs.
We also test for fetal well-being with biophysical profile ultrasound, color imaging and doppler. 3D ultrasound is also available. For general gynecologic oncology and reproductive endocrinology patients we also provide screening diagnostic and interventional ultrasound.
We have fourteen highly trained and dedicated diagnostic medical sonographers. Each of them is board certified or board eligible as Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. This means they have consistently demonstrated professional standards, as well as achieved a level of competency in technical procedures and patient care.
We are proud to be accredited by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM). This association is dedicated to promoting the safe and effective use of ultrasound.
