Get Ready for the Sports Season

Make sure your student athlete is ready next season with a sports physical. These exams are required before students can participate in middle and high school sports. Sanford Pierre is offering two convenient ways to get a sports physical:

  • Sports physicals: A physician will make sure your child can safely participate in a sport. The physical costs $35 at the time of your appointment and is not billable to insurance.
  • Child wellness exams: This comprehensive checkup includes immunizations, a full examination, a family history review and a sports physical. A well child exam is also an opportunity to talk about nutrition, safety and other age-appropriate topics. Most insurance providers completely cover wellness exams.

Please bring your child’s school physical form with the parent portion completed and signed. Both traditional sports physical visits and well child exams are by appointment only. Call (605) 945-5560 to schedule.

If you’ve had weight loss surgery, are scheduled for it or thinking about it, then this group is for you. The bariatric and weight loss support group meets on the third Monday of every month at Sanford Health Pierre Clinic. Each meeting will offer an educational topic and an opportunity for patients to ask questions and share their bariatric surgery successes or struggles with fellow attendees.

Regular support group attendance and follow-up visits with your bariatric team have been proven to increase your chances of long-term success after weight loss surgery.

This monthly event is free, and you don’t need to register.
